I've often wondered just how different things would be today if Hitler had succeeded in WW2...it's one of those great 'what if?' questions.

The world would be gone and some wonderful people would not be here today.

Well...I can say everything would be a lot different...
Isreal would not exist. Poland would not be a reasonable free country. We'd most likely not have unions. I doubt there would be any nation that did not have a 'Nazi' overlord.
I imagine that euthanasia would be quite common among people.
And I think there would be one heck of an underground of resistance.
Nazism wasn't about freedom, human rights didn't figure into the philosophy.
It would be a much darker world than the one we have today...and today's world can be dark enough.

Message form my friend computer:
"Ooops. My brain just hit a bad sector."
I get goosebumps just thinking about your topic. Do not take me wrong. It is scary just to think about Hitler.

The novel 'Fatherland' is based on just this scenario. It's basically a murder mystery, but takes place against the backdrop of JFK sitting down at summits with Hitler, etc. Haven't read the book but there was a Showtime movie made out of it in the 1990s.
My guess is we'd be chatting in German on Der Mylotten and asking each other 'bier oder milch'?
