Mature subject matter.

United States

Greetings, I have been a member of My Lot for a few days. I have just a short question about mature subject matter. How is the term defined? I tried to post a question about any good ideas about recipes for smoked turkey. A red message informed me that I was not allowed to post discussions about mature subject matter because I had not allowed mature subject matter to be sent to me. I finally guessed that I had to allow mature subject matter to be sent to me. After I allowed it my post was accepted. What does a recipe about smoked turkey have to do with mature subject matter? Thank you.

There was this "mature" joke that was going around that sounded quite adult-ish. The punchline of the joke (I wish I had it handy but I don't.) was that 'he' was merely stuffing a turkey.

I don't know, lol. But, that made me smile. There must have been a keyword in your post that flagged it as mature content. Roast Turkey, doesn't sound "mature" to me...but I guess it depends on how you roast it, eh? Were you able to get it posted regularly after that? Other than a specific word, I really don't know what it could be. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your response. I am now getting a glimmer of an idea. Maybe it's because I used the word "smoked" in the post. Any thoughts?

Thats weird. I have yet to see the thing about mature subjects. Maybe I have my settings different. I can't even fathom why turkeys would require a mature subject matter tag.

I have tried to post some replies to discussions, and mylot seems to deny a post if there are certain key words that are used in the reply. Now as far as smoking a turkey, How do you keep it lit? I can't even find the right size of paper to roll it with, let alone lighting it. LOL
