We were at a craft fair (as sellers) and the table next to us I saw one of the volunteers(a girl of about 14)take 5$ from the cashbox and put it in her pocket. My dilemma was to whether I should let the girl know I saw her and ask her to put it back, quietly take aside the table seller and tell her what I witnessed and allow her to deal with it,or do nothing and mind my own businesss.I went with option #2.Your thoughts and how would you have handled it?

I would have told the table seller what was going on.She is there to make money, the same as you,and wouldn't you want someone to tell you if someone was stealing from you? This young girl is starting a very bad habit, and if she is caught, maybe she would learn the lesson that stealing is wrong before something very bad happens to her.So even though it might be awkward, for many reasons I think you should tell her whats going on.Good Luck with this.

I did tell the seller and she handled it .She took the time to explain to me how she decided to handle it.

I guess i would of asked the woman if that was someone's daughter at the table and if she said no then i would of said something. Thats a hard call i guess because alot of people get offened real fast and might have taken it the wrong way. I'm sure who ever was there will hopefully notice and put two and two together.

The volunteer was not her daughter and the owner did not count her float.Tough call though.Thank you
