Just wondering how often in the real world you use math beyond basic addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and counting.

In banking, we use math in terms of knowing the interest rates and when a person deposits or withdraw money. I medicine, the number of times and the amount of medicine a sick person can take is another application. Of course, in business, you must know all math or you will lose it.

I think it depends on the situation you find yourself in. I personally have used algebra and geometry more often than I expected and am grateful to know it. You will find that many times you wish you remembered more - in all areas of learning. Grasp what you can now. :)

well I think you use it almost everywhere but not directly, what you use are the results of that; by example you're now using a computer, that computer is actually built upon an enormous amount of math and science, the same with the network and each and every modern tool you may use.
