Should all the money wastege be stop in mariags

Hi, should we spent so much money on mariage or we should give that amount to the wedding couple to support their life.
Is it right to buy all the things that are useless after the mariage and we don't use these things twicce or thrice in our life. As per me it should be stooped and all the money should be given to couple.

Some money needs to be spent on weddings not thousands and thousands of dollars though. The wedding should be celebrated. A small wedding with a huge party where everyone is invited. Even if the wedding isn't big, that doesn't mean the person paying for the wedding is going to be giving the couple money. If you are a guest at a wedding you can give money in lieu of a present.
