My boyfriend and I just relocated 2,400 miles, I'm unemployed and he just started a new job. We agreed that since we've had a lot of expenses with the move and settting up a house we wouldn't exchange Christmas presents this year. Today while on the computer I noticed he has been looking at women's watches online. It's obvious he's getting me a gift for Christmas. I want to get him something that symobilzes the great love, appreciation, and respect I have for him and our relationship, but don't have alot of money to spend. I would like to get him a book and write an inscription inside. I've looked online for books but can't find one I think fits. Any suggestions? I would appreciate any ideas you have. Thank you!

Make him a coupon book, I once did this for my husband and he loved it. 1 coupon could be for a back rub, another for a favorite dinner, use your imagination for the coupons. You don't have to buy him a gift to make Christmas special.

I don't think you should buy him anything. Wait until you both are working and are caught up on your bills first before buying something.
