my 2nd son is so active, he can't sit still for long. and how he loves to talk! one day when he was 3, he went to the upstairs bedroom which we've set up as their playroom. this room was overlooking the kitchen where i was busy preparing food for the company we were expecting for lunch. i saw him come down bringing a toy when on the last step, he slipped and bumped his head on the floor. since he usually gets into little accidents most of the time, i didn't think this one would be serious. so i told him to get up coz it's just nothing. well, he didn't. he was just lying there. my husband who was nearer to where he lay, picked him up and shook him. that was when i saw that he was unconscious! hysteria threatened but i suppressed it in the light of this more pressing situation. i picked up the phone to call his doctor and we were advised to bring him to the hospital immediately. there, he vomitted a lot of times and wouldn't respond to the doctor's prodding. we were terrified! i was already crying and i kept praying over and over to God not to take him. then, he opened his eyes! just like that! a ctscan was done and nothing was wrong. i didn't question what happened anymore. i beleive i was granted a miracle and i accepted it as that. someone up there knows what was in my heart and took pity. miracles do happen.

yes, i beleive that, too. he's 9 years old now and very normal. the accident didn't have any effect at all, not with his memory or mood, as they say where the effect would be later. i really beleive someone was watching out for us and to this day (when i still feel goosebumps just by thinkng about it), i am very grateful!
