Okay i just rescued two ferrets from a bad home. They both had flees and were nearly starved to death. They had no food or water when we took them home. It has been about a month and the male is doing great he is very healthy but the female she is eating but she does not seem to be gaining weight i have given her vitamins and duck soup and still nothing. She gets up and walks a bit but she is not very active. She also scratches alot the flees have been gone for awhile now and she has little fur so i know the flees are gone and there are no scars or bites. Any advise would be great. Thanks

I know this may sound weird, but my ferret always loved banannas. I'm not sure if that would help yours or not, but it would be a good treat. The vet was the one who suggested it to me originally, so it's got to be somewhat good for them. Good luck!

Lots of love and attention. They love kitten milk which is good for them. Try fattening foods for her. Lots of handling and out of the cage stuff. Warm baths, walks, and chicken.

Oh poor baby! Duck soup was my first suggestion. Do you by chance add Heavy Whipping Cream to your soup? That stuff is fattening! Another fattening option is Dyne. I think you have to get it from a vet, but it works wonders. Have you tried Ferretvite?
