Can you cheer me up??

What methods do you use for lifting your spirit, mine has sure been down for a long time. I do pray and give thanks for my children and my job, but I still feel very down. Can you help?

Sometimes i just get rid of every body and have a good wallow. Ill bawl my eyes out and get all red eyed . After I feel a sense of relief and I find this really helps lift the sad depressed feeling.

Maybe you are suffering from seasonal depression or do you have a problem with chronic depression. If so, you should see your doctor. Find someone professional to speak with about this. You need to find out what the root of the problem is and it could be either environmental or medical or circumstancial. Please talk to your family doctor and they will know if you should see a psychologist or a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist can prescribe medication. A psychologist can be just someone to speak with but knows about many mental and medically related things to what you are experience. I am so glad you remember to pray and praise in this time. That is so important. Remember God is always worthy of praise...He is ALWAYS good, all the time, and He is ALWAYS in total control. And...He loves you.

Thank you so much, I am seeing a counselor once a week now. I have to skip last week and this week because of money, but I have been trying. I think I have a passive /aggressive nature. I am more passive than aggresive because I don't want to get mad. I also think I have been codependant for whatever reasons I don't understand but I am working on this, I don't know if I have found the right help, but I am working on it.

Hi Sweetie,sorry to hear you're feeling down,especially so close to the Holidays.But sometimes that in itself makes people feel down,stress,or Christmas money problems.I don't what I can do to help,but I'm happy to try.When I start to feel a little down,I put in the funniest movies I have and watch them until they make me laugh, or I come to myLot and read people discussions.When I read about all the problems other are having makes me feel better to know I'm not alone. You're not alone either, so go put in a funny movie,cheer up and SMILE!

Here are a few ideas. Listen to an upbeat cd. Put in a favorite comedy or happy movie. Take a long hot bath. Myself I often put in praise and worship music.

God Bless you, I am listening to a song now over and over.. The hot water here doesn't last too long sometimes, but I will try. Thanks for your responce.
