Current weight issues in our society

Weight seems to be a growing problem in today's society, not just in the U.S. but all around the world. We know we live unhealthy lives but we continue to live them. Did you know that almost 30% of the population is obese? (reference: http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3000947) Not just overweight, obese! That's startling! It's tripled the rate of that in the 1960'. Same goes for obesity in children. As parents, we're not bringing up our kids the way we're supposed to, and now not only endangering our lives but theirs as well. Horrible diets, lack of exercise, and staying in to watch tv or play computer games is seriously affecting our health, yet we continue to do the same thing day in and day out. I don't understand why people are letting themselves go and not caring for their bodies. I think people aren't taking it as seriously as they should, and when they finally decide to, it will be too late. What do you think? DSeguin http://www.i-weightloss.com
