How many languages do you speak?

I was just reading about a young man that already speaks 10 languages. And I got to thinking, how many languages do other people speak? This forum seems like a good place to ask, so here I go. How many languages do you speak? Do you write them or can you have a conversation? Give yourself five stars if you speak them well enough to do a talk show and rate how good you are at each languange. Sadly I can only put down English***** AND Spanish* I'd like to get better.

I must be boring, as I can only speak one language, and that is English. But, I can say some sentences in Spanish and Jewish. But not anymore than that, just basic conversational questions.

Well, english is my first language so ***** for that one. I also studied French in school, so I'm about a ** or *** at that one, not enough to be able to speak it so well, but I can understand most of what is going on when I'm reading it, and quite a bit from listening to in. I've also done a lot of study into Japanese, and I'm probably at about ** or *** at that one as well if we are counting the speaking or listening of it. I can also read a bunch of the characters to know what the sound is, but not for understanding so well yet, I have a long ways to go for that part.

Just one, English. I took French in High School and my first year of college. I wanted to be an interpreter. Unfortunately, I ended up transferring to a different college that only offered beginning French classes. So I had to change my major. Now 20+ years later, I remember only a little French and less Spanish.
