My sister is thinking of getting a laptop but I heard a lot of bad comments about different brands and I am not sure what are the good ones so I would like to have some advices from mylot users. Thank you
and also share the price ranges.

I had a Dell laptop I bought in the Summer of 2004, and in 18 months the motherboard fried and Dell wanted $500 for a replacement motherboard on a laptop that would cost around $1500. And since it was 6 months out of warranty there was nothing I could do. I don't like dell products made after circa 2000, because I own a Dell desktop and laptop from before then and they are good reliable and high quality.

I love my sony vaio. I have it for over 3 years now. I just add memory to it this year. I will highly recommend it.

I will recommend Sony Vaio. It is simply the best laptop around. It is also very slim and easy to carry!

Dell is the best of all laptops ..its only with DEll that the CD-roms..dvd roms etc are shipped as bays..its individual...none other company does this.
