yes i saw it when i was still a child...it was beautiful, all suddenly become dark, then bright again. But my parents told me not to see it directly coz can affect our retina

I've only seen it on television because I was always afraid to look. I've been told that you can look at it through a colored jar and not damage your eyes but I don't want to take any chances.
