Wondering what the difference is in discussion posts

I posted this once today, and it shows up in my list of discussions, but when you click on it, it's totally blank. I just wondered why some discussions, people respond to them like crazy, and others with the same content matter are not responded to at all?

I'm curious to why that is as well. My thought is, it just depends on when you post it. Maybe there are certian times of the day when there are more people here than others. I don't know. Wish I did, I get tired of starting stuff and no one answers!
