I only did it once, in Paris.

It happened only once with me, at that time i was in another state due to some official work. I spent 3 days alone their and had to take my lunch and dinner in local restaurants there. It was not a pleasant experience though, as i am used to have food with my family. I hope it wont happen with me again in future even there is big possibility it would happen again.

I did this once at McDonalds. Does that count? I was really hungry and doing some shopping for the wedding. It was to cold outside and I wasn't going home anytime soon. I hated it, felt like everyone was staring at me. But, I got through and then finished my shopping. Shopping makes everything better!

well guess you could say i have but then again i've never been shy so i often look and see if there is someone else eating alone and i'll ask to join them drove a truck for 30 years and some places had a professional section for drivers so often went in there. some didn't but it didn't matter to me...lol so i have eaten alone alot of times but that was part of the job...

yes and it was very lonely eating alone. i am used into eating together with my family or with my friends. eating is one of my friends and my hobby. i guess i didn't enjoy the food that much even if they are most delicious ones when i'm eating alone

yeah, the food doesn't taste as good when you are alone.

I have done this many times. Especially, when I was driving over-the-road. It is no big deal. It is interesting to look around and see what you can see without disruptions. Sometimes, the experience can be relaxing...you are just there and can do whatever you want.
