My cousin died Dec. 11 from breast cancer. She knew about it for about 18 months. She kept it hidden from her family and friends for a year, until it was obvious. She never went to a doctor or recieved any treatment for it. She had said that she would rather die than lose her breast. I am personally still going through chemo myself for breast cancer, and in my opinion, her decision was ridiculous, to put it mildly. But it was her decision, and she was 45 years old. She didn't start feeling any pain until close to the end.

I am very sorry to hear of your cousin and you. I have lost my mother to colan cancer, and she was in a lot of pain. I lost a lot of friends too. Many young. My prayers go out to you. Live each day to the fullest, and lean on the Lord.

i lost a truly good friend to scabies. it doesn't sound as life-threatening as cancer, but it claimed her life just the same, and she was, like, 16 years old, full of life and dreams, the eldest of 5 children. it was so sad, indeed. talking now about your friend's case, well, we couldn't judge her decision as being right or wrong. her reasons might have been personal, after all.

Yes I lost my wife to brain cancer, believe me it is a horrible thing to go through, especially when the Doctors tell you, that you have no chance of survival, etc, etc. Well best of luck to you, I hope you have someone in your life that is supporting you through this, it is nice too have someone too lean on going through tough times.

Unfortunately I have lost so many friends to cancer that my kids told me I need to find friends without it! I run a Melanoma Skin Cancer Foundation www.MelanomaSupport.org and so I know many who have past from this deadly disease. I think us cancer survivors have a very special connection. Good luck with your treatments. I wish you well.

I have lost 5 members of my family to cancer and have recently been diagnosed with tumors on my kidneys and adrenal gland. I dont know if going through treatment is worth it or not. I will do what ever i must do to stay in this world as long as possible but I watched my other family members go through all the treatment and still die so I dont know,
