Hey hey! Good question. It depends on how you view yourself I think. I read a lot, mostly non fiction, history (i like stuff about wars) economics, I have a number of economis magazine that I subscribe to, Current issues such a politics and the lot of them. I believe that to be a better person, I have to be aware of my surroundings..and everything that's going on around the world. I don't believe in reading self-help books. They're just there to give you more crap and confuse you until ultimately, you lose yourself. You know the saying "you tried so hard to be someone 'til you forget who you are"

that reminds me of a line from one of karen carpenter's songs, "i've been to places, but i've never been to me." i agree with you, getting in touch with reality is one way to develop yourself. thanks for responding.

I try to be a better pperson by talking to God in prayer a lot and by reading the Bible. The more that you take Jesus as your model in life, the better person you will be.

Make a commitment to do it. Stay conscious of that pledge and just do it.

I have read in the past, but now it is down to trial and error, and if it is error I try not to be too hard on myself!

I study and pray a lot. I read on how to control my attitude and think before I speak. I read the bible and try to focus on what it say to do in different situtations. When I find myself getting angery at someone I try to leave and calm myself down and pray before approaching the situation. When I fail to do these things I mess up bad and have to ask for forgivness from the person I get mad at and God.

that's really nice. sometimes, respect that took years to be earned can be shattered in just an instant when one is angry.
