Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship. Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word. Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life. What u say?????????

Friendship is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behaviour between two or more social entities. This article focuses on the notion specific to interpersonal relationships. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection. Friends will welcome each other's company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for many, friendship is nothing more than the trust that someone or something will not harm them. Value that is found in friendships is often the result of a friend demonstrating on a consistent basis: the tendency to desire what is best for each other. sympathy and empathy. honesty, perhaps in situations where it may be difficult for others to speak the truth. mutual understanding. In a comparison of personal relationships, friendship is considered to be closer than acquaintanceship, although there is a range of degrees of intimacy in both friendships and acquaintances. Friendship and acquaintanceship can be thought of spanning across the same continuum.

friend - friends are everthing to everybody
The Making of Friends Life is sweet because of the friends we have made And the things which in common we share; We want to live on, not because of ourselves, But because of the ones who would care. It's living and doing for somebody else On that all of life's splendor depends, And the joy of it all, when we count it all up, Is found in the making of friends. Everyone Needs Someone People need people and friends need friends And we all need love for a full life depends Not on vast riches or great acclaim Not on success or on worldly fame But just in knowing that someone cares And holds us close in their thoughts and prayers For only the knowledge that we're understood Makes everyday living feel wonderfully good And we rob ourselves of life's greatest need When we 'lock up our hearts' and fail to heed The outstretched hand reaching to find A kindred spirit whose heart and mind Are lonely and longing to somehow share Our joys and sorrows and to make us aware That life's completeness and richness depends On the things we share with our loved ones and friends.

For me, friendship is a treasure, it is the color of our life, when you dont have friends, life is so boring, and according to a site that I have read, "Friendships are precious jewels. Treat them as such. Enjoy them! Celebrate them! And never take them for granted."

It is an in-depth relationship combining trust, support, communication, loyalty, understanding, empathy, and intimacy. These are certainly aspects of life that all of us crave. Being able to trust and relax with your friend is a big part of friendship. Remember when you were young and went with a friend to her grandma's for the week-end. It was fun but when you got home, home was wonderful. Your feeling was "I'm home. I can relax now." That's what a friendship should be. You go out into the world and do your best. You have your ups and downs, your problems and triumphs, your fun and tribulations. You charm and you perform. Then you come "home" to a friend. You can relax, put up your feet; you are relieved. If you still have to be charming and/or performing, it's not a relief. Friendship is a comfy situation like home. You get home, kick off your shoes, relax and sigh, "Ahh, home."

That person will be there for you no matter what though thick and thin... being able to trust that person.... never being lied to... Almost the same things as a realationship.

friendship - friendship is a worthless thing which can be shared by every one with any one.
"True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost." "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."

Friendship is like a rose where the hearts of one cannot be pumping without the other. Friends are those who help us in our needs. True friendship has never failed in any histories of the world.
