christmas spirit

I went out last night with my friends dressed up as a miss santa clause, well all of us were dressed up as miss santa clauses...but so many people were really anti christmas...do you think christmas spirit is fading?? and if so is it due to the commercialness of it all, the fact that some shops are selling christmas cards and advertising gifts in september and by december everyone has had enough

holiday rush - shopper amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. sometimes seems too much and were has all the eagerness, aniticipation and joy gone.
The idea of you dressing up and going out a Miss Clause's is a wonderful one. I have never heard of it and think it would have been fun, if folks weren't so wrapped up in day to day struggles. I agree that holiday decorations etc are out way too soon. In my lifetime it has gone from the day after Thanksgiving to around Halloween. Tis a shame. I also think religious beliefs have not been as strong as when the states were founded.
