Does a LCD monitor effects your eyes?

LCD monitors are easy on eyes and I have a computer with LCD monitor and even my TV is LCD screen both are good on eye. Try it out it will be good for your eyes.

as far as i know lcd monitors donot affect eye sight...so u can go with lcd monitors.

Yes LCDs do have a negative effect on your eyes but the strain isn't as much as a CRT does. If you do go to LCD, from what I currently understand about them, in terms of image programs and games the LCDs aren't as good as a CRT so if this bothers you, you can buy a screen for you monitor to help your eyes relieve some of that strain till the LCDs or whatever new monitor perfects this problem.

mm....i think that ya...they can affect ur eyes...coz i also have a LCD monitor..is cool but affected my eyes...right now im wearing specs ...well..only at PC..but still..u can buy a LCD monitor..but buy also some specs ..:P..happy new year

I think all he screen affect your eyes if you stay longer in front of them but I think it affects lesser than CRT

well Wasim, I hope you have not taken his advice in a hurry. LCD or no LCD, a screen of monitor or TV is apt to harm your eyes if you stay longer in front of it. The same was my problem a fortnight ago, so I bought a wireless keyboard and infrared mouse and I sit at a distance now from monitor screen and It has helped me a lot. I reckon you use Windows XP, so you can use its magnifying feature if you wanna read some congested script.

I think LCD screen is better and also doesn't consume much energy.
