Hello, I stay home with my 8-month-old baby during the day. I want to make sure he is stimulated and learning. What are some things (games, toys, places?) I can do with him both in the house and outside of the house? I feel like I'm running out of ideas. what do you do with your baby?

Read books with many pictures, Talk to the baby, and try to use toys hat make sounds and colors. The best interaction is always physical.Taking the baby to the park is nice too. I waould say take your child like on a picnic. let him roll and play around a little bit. watch how he takes in his surroundings and always stay in eye view

my daughter is now 20 months and can say the alphabet and count to ten, i started early with giving her books and saying the letters and numbers to her. i also take her to the store and we go to the produce isle and i pick differant fruits and vegies and let her hold them and say what they are. as in games we play dance, i have differant cd's with kids musc and we dance and say diff words in the song and she will repeat. i understand you have an 8 month old and may not walk yet but i can alomost promise that you can start with words and numbers i started when hannah was first born with the numbers and words and she was saying them at 10 months. obviously she doesnt say them perfect but she definetly works hard, and has fun at the same time. we also build tents with blankets and coushions, i give her hats and larg jewlery. we have differant lep frog games also that sound words and colors as well as letters and stuff, it doesnt have to be lep frog there are other things out there. i found that hannah was draw to the wiggles show because of the music and bright colors. good luck im sure you will find whats right for you guys.

I'm right there with you. My son too is eight months old. I try so hard to keep his mind stimulated and I am also running out of ideas. Thanks for bringing this up. Maybe we will both get some ideas from this.

My daughter is 9 months & LOVES rattly toys, she also has roll arounds - they're little balls with things in them & we roll them together! At the moment she's more interested in putting things in her mouth so i just find things that light up or make noise & make them attack her - she loves it & giggles with them - we have a good time. At this age, they're happy with just about anything & i find at times she's happy to play on her own so i just make sure she has plenty of different toys, some books & a couple of teddies that move & she's happy!
