how come no physical education in kindergarden?

In my son's school they are not doing physical education in kindergarden. I wish they would. It is hard to find activities for them to do in the winter. Anybody have any good suggestions for indoor activities that are free?

Do you remember playing Mother May I? or Redlight Greenlight? You could play games like that. How about making snow angels? Raking leaves? Or turn on music and dance with him. I think they have tapes and cds and videos aimed at children. I am pretty sure I saw a sesame street exercise video somewhere.

Hide n seek & freeze tag!!! My son is in kindergarten and they go the PE twice a week . . .I wish they'd go everyday, but he does enough running around at home when he gets back from school!!

ya its great for running arund in the summer, but now when it is dark at 4pm, i feel so bad for him trapping him indoors and all!!

That sucks. My daughter had gym once a week in Kindergarten. Same this year in 1st grade. I have no clue how long gym class was. She also was only only going half day but they still fit it in.

ya my son is only half a day, as far im concerned, the teacher should just make them chase eachother around the field for 20 minutes a day!! Maybe i will just start doing that with him after school!!
