I was wondering if anyone has ever sold Tupperware or Candles or something at home parties? Did you do any good?

Yep I have done party plan. I had ups and downs through it all. It really works if you know lots of people to start you off that have lots of other friends. I had lots of fun doing it too.

It worked for me and I got some nice Christmas Decorations ,too I have sold Avon and I am going to go back into it. It is a great plan, and you can sell even if there are a lot of people selling. I would like to know more about jockey,I am looking for some home businesses at this time

I sell Mary Kay! If I would put more time into it I would do a lot better than I am now. This stuff sells itself. My SIL who got me started earns a living selling Mary Kay. Check out my website at www/marykay.com/leighmdavis

I sold Mary Kay for five years, a sales director for two of those years. I did pretty good at selling and held a lot of appointments, but mostly single or double facials. I did do some parties, but I found it hard to book them and for them to hold. Even though it seemed that I was always out holding appointments, getting names, booking appointments, there was never enough money. The expenses are high and if you really sit down and figure out what you really make, the total number of hours you really put in, it is way less than minimum wage.

I am doing Jockey Person to Person. Jockey has only been in the party plan business less than 2 years. It is a line of Jockey products for women. I love their active wear. These parties are so easy. You do not have a presentation. You just have people invite their friends to shop and talk. It really is fun. You can even place an individual order for someone. Most plans won't let you do that. If anyone is interested they can send me a message.

I did a party and didn't sell anything there but drinks, and food..it was something like a "rent party"..it was successful..I even did a "paint party" where people paid $5 to get in and painted my apartment..it was very successful...

it was fairly easy to get my friends to fork over $5...all I had to do was have a constant flow of drinks and food..they know that they would be somewhere that they can pretty much do what they want within reason and they knew that the better the house looked, the more time they would get to spend enjoying it..plus, they never come alone..they always bring another friend of theirs and they bring someone too..so its like I made excellent profit and made new friends..

I sold Tupperware about 12 years ago. I did ok. If I worked hard - 2 parties a week - I was able to make my car payment. After a few years my party people kinda dried up on me. How much Tupperware do people really need? I also sold PartyLite about 8 years ago. I did ok with that too, but ran into the same problem. People stop booking parties after a while because they have everything they need. I'm now working a home-based business that doesn't involve parties, inventory, collecing money, delivering orders and it's stuff people use all the time, every day. It's like toilet paper, everyone buys it (it's not toilet paper, but you get the idea). If you think that you might want to switch to a non-party type business that can give you a reliable residual income, let me know and I can give you some more information on it. Good Luck!

You can e-mail me the information. I am just srating Jockey Person to Person. Jockey is just getting into the home party plan, less than to years. They have bras, underwear, pajamas and other things that women buy all the time. I am mainly doing it to get out of the house. I quit work this year to stay home with my grand daughter and I miss adult conversation. This is so different fro other plans because you don't get up and do a presentation. You just invite people to get together and shop and talk. You can even just place individual orders for people. Most party plans do not allow that. I love the products. They also have active wear. If anyone is interested in checking it out they can e-mail me.

I didn't know that they did home parties for Jockey... What I do is show people how to save money by purchasing their everyday consumables directly from the manufacturer. It's a great company and since it's things that people are already using every day, it's not like I have to convince anyone to do something different or purchase a new product that they probably wont use. I love the concept, it's pretty unique.

Years ago, a group ofmy friends and family would all take turns hosting Home Interior parties. I got a lot of beautiful hostess gifts from those parties. Never did earn much money because I like to buy just like everybody else, but boy did we have a lot of fun at those parties.

I sell Tupperware, Diamond Creek Candles and Mary Kay.. I am doing very well and have made enough money to pay all my bills and quit my full time job, which I hated! I have time for my baby and husband. Never had that before. I can sell all three online, home parties, referrals, and even go to the grocery with my family and come back home with several orders for each. If you are interested, please check out my website at www.my.tupperware.com/christykennedy www.marykay.com/christykennedy www.diamondcreekcandles.com/c111

I did try that for awhile with Tastefully Simple. I just couldn't pull it off. I had a problem keeping parties booked. When I did have parties my sales were really good, it was just getting people to take the time to have a party. I think I ended up spending more than I made on samples, supplies, etc.

I am going to try Jockey Person To Person. They sell a line of Jockey products that you can't buy in stores. I am actually doing it to get out of the house some. I quit work this year to care for my grand daughter. I didn't want her in daycare. I can do this in the evenings and get out and talk to adults. LOL!!

Yes there is a lot of people doing those parties here in Kansas City. I was looking for something that everyone wasn't doing. I found Jockey has started a home party plan and no one is doing it in my area. I get my kit tommorow. The quality is fabulous. I have several people interested.

Spring flowers on a path - Spring flowers blooming along a path with huge oak trees.
Most of these things depends on the product offered and the time you put into them. I used to sell Avon. I did very well with it and sold it until I was just too busy working full time and raising three kids. I tried The Body Shop At Home about a year ago and found it hard to sell because of the prices being high and also the retail stores. Why buy or go to a party when you can go to the store and get it? Good luck in whatever program you choose!

I have just started selling Home and Garden Party. I have a few parties booked until the middle of May, and at each of these I am hoping to get more bookings. I think that I will do ok, as long as I get out there and get bookings! I really enjoy all their products, their candles are what hooked me, but we have a wonderful line of home products. Now, we have also added some food and jewelry items, too. I do not have a website yet, but I would like to get one. Good luck to everyone that does this for a living.
