home away from christmas

its christmas again...i thought i should be happy, but thought against it..not sure how to spend the day - being away with my family and all. spending the night at work is not a great way to spend christmas. i have my friends, but then, they couldn't take the place of my family. christmas has been a great way to spend time with family, even if it means being a slave for my parents - being a driver for my dad and a maid for my mom. no, i didnt mind it at all. i miss them soo much. cant wait to be home but then i have to be back at work on the eve of christmas day. i have already picked out gifts for a few of my sisters, undecided yet what to give to others. i have decided to give my daughter a barney backpack instead of a bicycle (seems that i cant really afford it ) but then again, i guess my presence would mean to them than the cheap gifts. i know they'd rather have their ate bossing around and playing with them.... im venting this out...not sure why...but i guess with some miracle, santa would be able to read this and give me my christmas day with my family.

You could always volunteer and donate your time to a shelter for Christmas. They always need the extra hands this time of year. Even though it won't be the same as spending it with your family, it will at least leave you with a warm feeling to know you were able to help people in need this time of year.

It is not nice being away with Christmas but then again it is not nice to ever be away from family.
