What I enjoy the most about the Christmas season is the gathering. I love being around my friends and family and sharing our love for each other. WE share our experiences good or bad throughout the year and continue to give support to one another.

The food. I love the food around Christmas time. Peppermint fudge, peppermint bark, Russian Tea Cakes, meringe squares, orange zest tarts, chocolate cherry bread, gingerbread cookies... and of course the meal-food. Lobster with drawn butter, herb basted roast beef, cold cut platters with a dozen cheeses and dips...
I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

LOL! same here. gosh, we need to monitor our diet this season lest we want to gain a lot of weight, hehe.

I really enjoy the music. Hearing the old songs after not hearing them all year brings back nostalgic memories of Christmas past when grandparents and aunts and uncles who are now gone were with us.We used to have large get togethers back then. Since none of my parents' siblings had children, and my only brother had no children, our family is down to just a few people now, and the Christmas' just aren't the same any more.

oh.... i agree, it's not the same anymore. family members become fewer and fewer just because there aren't children born anymore. my husband got small concern about that since there are 4 of them siblings, all male, and the 3 decided not to have children. my husband, fortunately, has a son from a previous marriage, keeping the lineage alive. luckily i got a son too. that's enough for us to be thankful for :)
