Why do people respond to pointless questions?

I don't know. I've wondered the same thing. It drives me crazy. All the pointless discussions, that is. People responding to them just keeps them up front and the good discussions get pushed back. I think people are just lazy and would rather post short responses which I don't understand because the longer responses seem to make more money. Which is why so many people copy and paste long things from the web. Another thing that drives me crazy! Well, anyway, I try to look for the good stuff to respond to, but they seem so hard to find!

you're absolutely right. when i take a look at the top discussions usually most of them are questions answerable by yes or no, or maybe some look like theyre's traight froma highschool autograph book.
