How can people in Indonesia have gmail account?

In google if we want to have a gmail account, we should have us mobile phone number. So, how can people in Indonesia have the gmail account? they don't have us cell phone number.

yeah it's popular, but it uses referral program that we should have mobile phone number, right?

If you still need that gmail account I still have invitation. I got my gmail from blogger.com , first time gmail starting in beta they give sample of gmail to some of member blogger.com and im the lucky one.

one way is in the 'sign up' form, say that you're from another country like the united states.
