How smart is your dog?

Does your dog act like he/she understands every word you say? Does it look at you as if to say, "I'm going to talk any minute!" I'd like to hear some good "smart dog" stories.

All dog owners like to think that their dogs are super intelligent :) I know that often I will talk as if the dogs can understand every thing I am saying - but with my dogs I know they cannot... It's all about food, walkies and treats. Oh and cuddles of course! Sorry I don't have any smart dog stories to share - I guess I think of my dogs as children in some ways. Like they have the capability to be smart, but it might take some time for it to show :P

Four men were bragging about how smart their dogs are. The first man was an engineer, the second was an accountant, the third a chemist, and the fourth was a government worker. To show off, the engineer called to his dog. "T-Square, do your stuff." T-Square trotted over to the desk, took out some paper and promptly drew a circle, a square, and a triangle. Everyone agreed that was pretty smart. But the accountant said his dog could do better. He called his dog and said, "Spreadsheet, do your stuff." Spreadsheet went out into the kitchen and returned with a dozen cookies. He divided them into four equal piles of three cookies each. Everyone agreed that was good. But the chemist said his dog could do better. He called his dog and said, "Measure, do your stuff." Measure got up, walked over to the fridge, took out a quart of milk, got a 10 ounce glass from the cupboard and poured exactly 8 ounces without spilling a drop! Everyone agreed that was good. Then the three men turned to the government worker, and said, "What can your dog do?" The government worker called to his dog and said, "Coffee Break, "do your stuff." Coffee Break slowly got on his feet, ate the cookies, drank the milk, crapped on the paper, sexually assaulted the other three dogs, claimed he injured his back while doing so, filed a grievance report for unsafe working conditions, put in for workers' compensation, and went home for the rest of the day on sick leave.
