It's a great feeling when someone appreciated you and by that its very wonderful to hear the words thank you. Well as for today i cant count how many thank you's i've already said and heard. What about you how often do you say thankyou to someone?

hmm..your post just made me realize that i dont say thank you that often. i know i should but sometimes i assumed that they know already that im grateful for whatever it is that they did for me or said. i guess it's still sweet when you actually hear the words of gratitude. :)

I try to remember to say thank you whenevever someone does something nice for me. I say thank you to my chilren when they help me out. I thank the cashier at the store, and the teller at the bank, and the waitress, and most others I see. I like to treat others as I would like to be treated, and thanking them is common courtesy.

I do not make a count of how many "thank yous" I say in one day, but I always make it a point to say this word to compliment or commend somebody for the good (or even bad) things or services that he/she had rendered. And just as you have said, it's very nice and happy to hear complimentary words like thank you from something you've done.

I try to remember to say thank you all the time. I think it's very important to show people appreciation. And I always feel special when people say thank you to me.

Maybe it's because I'm a teacher and know a little English, I'm used to say thank you to anyone who does something for me, even when the students handing in their assignments, I would say "thank you " to them. But in my hometown, it's not common to say thank you for one person to another, so when I say thank you to them, they would either feel embarrassed or totally ignore it without giving me any sign of hearing it. So sometimes I would feel awkward to say thank you to some people here.

I actually say "Thank You" a lot every day. It's just natural for me. I probably even say it when I don't need to. But, in my opinion, you can't overuse that phrase, so I'll keep doing it. I work with the public and it has just been a normal part of my interaction with customers. On top of that, I always feel so much better when people acknowledge and thank me for things. I just feel I should return the favor. After all, I might inadvertently make someone's day!
