what age do you think is ok for a girl to get highlights

my daughter is 9 and she wants blonde highlights, should I make her wait til she is older

I think 9 is okay to get it done. I would make her wait until a special occasion, like christmas or her birthday, or as a reward for something major she did so that she doesn't think she is going to get it done all of the time.

I like both the answers up above.. for a award or do it naturally... :)
My daughter is 7.. I wouldnt let her do it quite yet just because of the money it would cost. Now when shes a bit older if she wanted to save her allowance, get it as a present.. then that would be fine.

You could do it naturally with lemon juice and water and either sunlight or a blow dryer. You can also buy temporary color that will wash out at a local beauty supply store.
