Do you keep in touch? What about holidays? My fathers is an active alchoholic, and a bigot, a general scroogish old man. I don't want hin around my daughter because he's not how a grandfather should be, BUT he's the only one she has. I almost want to go to a nursing home to adopt some grandparents! What do you do when your parents are toxic?
