the exorcist!

i love the movie, but i must admit that i laugh my @ss off at some scenes. maybe i'm odd. when i was about 19, some friends and i rented a bunch of movies, we each picked one. i picked the exorcist. apparently, i was the only one who'd seen it before. i got phone calls from all of them the next morning saying that they couldn't sleep that night because they kept having nightmares. the movie IS based on a book by william peter blatty. also, the exorcist III is based on the book legion (also by blatty). i don't know about the exorcist II -- the movie sucked too much for me to care about whether there's a book involved.

Yup i saw the movie and i think its the best Horror movie made till now. Well it scared a lot of people i heard however i didn't get scared and enjoyed the movie a lot. My favorite part of the movie was when the exorcist starts praying and tries to cast the demon away and the demon gets wild and starts shaking the whole bed, swearing at the priest and stuff. This scene was towards the end of the movie.

I did see The Exorcist. My friends and I watched it for Halloween one year, and you're right it wasn't all too scary, but think about when it came out it was. We tore it to pieces and laughed at it cause one friend was a film major.
