weigh your feelings towards your good friend... if you love him, then go for it! you deserve to love and be loved. you might be going away soon and will be away from him. but if you truly love him, you'll be willing to adjust to the situation of being far from him. it will work if both of you will keep the relationship alive. i have a boyfriend who are oceans away from me. and we're into our 8th month. and we love each other more day after day despite the distance. distance doesn't matter...

if you are fond of him too and would like to give it a shot, maybe you should try telling him that although you like him too, but you'll be going away...see what he say..if he's ok with it and commit to go steady with you despite the distance, go ahead and give it a shot! nothing is impossible!
