Who and what have influenced you in life?

I was wondering about what and who shape our life. We come across so many people, books etc and they do influence us. But some have profound effect. It canm be mother, father, teacher, friend, some celebrity, some historical figure, sportsmen, books etc. I have been greatly influenced by my mother, many teachers, few books like Bhagvad Gita, Atlas Shrugged, Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Personalities like Tiger Woods, Amitabh Bachhan, Mahatma Gandhi, Adam Smith. There may be few who have influenced you. It will be nice to know.
