Christmass Tree allergies-----

I have really bad allergies to pine. I cannot take anything that will keep them away that is not comfortable. I break out in hives, and start swelling. Usually when I come in contact with pine directly with my skin, or become expossed to it to breath in allot, I have to be hospitalized with iv's.

I don't have allergies on christmas tree or allergies of any kind. This is the question that I always get everytime I visit a doctor. They'd always ask you do you have allergies? I always say NO. hehehe..I'm blessed with this. Thank you.

I am not allergic to Christmas trees, I am glad they smell so good. It wouldn't matter any way, I have an artificial tree, less mess. Also I can have it up longer, real trees can be a fire hazard.

I am allergic to the pine oil in Christmas trees, and cannot be too close to a real tree. The simple solution is to have an artificial tree. If I go to someone's house where they have a real tree, I try to stay out of the room, and I certainly would not touch anything that came into contact with the oil of the tree. I also have benadryl and my inhaler with me at all times. I guess that allergies to pine are actually quite common.
