Do you know how to pick a good Xmas Tree?

Do you know the types of tree to get? I know 2 a Douglas Fir, or a Scotch, do you know of any others. and the best way to shop for a tree is grab the branches, if tree shades, it is not a fresh tree. Happy Holidays to everyone!

this is actually the first yr my kids and I have ever had a real tree..I didnt know the firt thing about it but my husband has had real trees so he was in charge LOL...and I have to admit that I LOVE IT...its messy with the needles all over the place and 3 of my 4 cats keep tryingn to eat it (the dogs dont bother with it though) and all 4 cats keep drinkin the water LOL but other than that its fabulous!!

That's nice when I was a kid my parents always had real tree. I never Had one as I got on my own. well, maybe once. that's funny, about your cats trying to eat it. and the dogs don't bother it, there smart. and the cats, dring the water, maybe they are trying to tell you something LOL.

When I was a kid we would sometimes have a real tree. You are supposed to shake it, if a bunch of needles fall, don't buy it. Also bend the needles and if they bounce back its fresh and not dried out. Also after you bring it home, you are supposed to cut off some of the bottom, so the tree can absorb water, that helps it from drying out. I just put my tree up today, its an artificial tree.

That's a real good tip V. Mylot members should be able to use that tip. anyone who's buying a real tree.

we have never had a real tree, I think they are too much work.....keeping it watered etc.

I don't have a tree, I seen something on the news about how to pick a good tree. For people that like real trees.
I never had a real tree.
