They say that cancer is a disease that we today can treat than how come so many people die from it every year, every day, every month?
When i was 13 my grandmother on my mothers side died in cancer. Even though it was a long time i remember it like it was yesterday...
The cancer really ate her up, and she slowly passed away.
My grandmother is the only one (Thank God) That i have lost so far, so i know i am lucky in that way.
every year I give some money to research for cancer in my grandmothers name, I know that it might not save the world but i would like to see that i am doing my part atlease...

I lost several LOVED ONES to cancer. It's good that you give money to cancer research, you are doing your part.

I have, actually. My grandfather had lung cancer and lived with just one lung for... oh, I don't even know. Most of his life, probably. When he was in the hospital, I hardly ever got to see him because I was "too young" to visit patients, but whenever I did get to see him, he looked awful. He was way too thin and just looked so sick. If you've ever seen the anti-smoking commercial with the guy on the oxygen tank at the end, that's pretty much what it was like. I can't understand my uncle and cousin watching him die like that and then continuing to smoke. And then watching my grandmother die from the effects of his second hand smoke and they're STILL smoking. You'd think that'd knock some sense into them. And yeah, I understand it's an addiction and all, but you'd think they'd at least THINK about quitting. And maybe they have, but who knows?
