Considering buying a hamster!

Hello everybody, I am considering to buying a hamster, can anybody give me some advise before i go ahead and do it?
I know taking care of a hamster is a tricky business, so i would like to be ready and know everything about it before i go ahead and do it.

Hi there barcode...
I once had a hamster, and I can say, hamsters are for life. Once you had your first, you'll never want to live without again.
But you really have to consider some things first.
Like for instance; are you really a hamster guy, or are you more like a guinee-pig type of person.
But I'm really looking forward to hear more from you, and what decision you'll end up making.
