A friend of mine made a robot. He claims amazingly that his robot responds to emotions. He says it is intelligent. That it is cranky sometimes but mostly good. It seems it even responds to flirting if it is in a good mood. lol! Do you believe it? Is it ever possible??

no i can't believe coz robots have some limits and they only respond those emotion which stored on them... for flirting u should have one heart with lots of heartbeats ...with pain....with emotions..with some flirtness..........and lots of stuffs,,, which a robot doesn't have any time at any cost.

Well if you program it well enough with lots of registers and controls then it is possible why not. These days techniques like adaptive control and neural networks have made such things feasible.

Nope, i dont think so... coz there is no way a robot can understand...u can have emotion untill or unless u have a heart and soul...

A robot can indeed be taught about emotions. Such studies are infact in full swing in many top universities in US.

Yes fixed functions. But with adaptive control technology these functions can adapt as well. Therefore, the robot can also adapt.
