How Many Times Do You Go To The Movie Theater Per Year

I hardly ever go to the movies, I just wait and watch it at home. Only if it is a movie that must be seen on the Big screen do I go. Most of my friends want to go 2-5 times a month, but I have learned to loathe the movie theaters. I am so spoiled to having my quietness at home and being able to pause the movie so I can get up and leave the area. Are we all getting spoiled or are there still a few die hard movie goers?

I think with the price of movie tickets now this is an option for a lot of folks. Either rend dvd's or wait for the movie to hit cable. We joined Netflix last year and love it. We pay under $20 a month and can watch as many movies as we want.

I prefer to watch my movies at home also. It is a very rare occasion for me to go to a theater. Even when I was in the U.S., I didn't go to the theater. I prefer to watch it on dvd or cable.

Yes dvd or cable is the best. I like to take breaks and not have worry if I am going to miss something. I also do not have a lot of tolerance with the rudeness most people have in the theater.

I like to watch from home. The price of going to the movies is so expensive.I only go if there is a movie that I think would benifit being seen on the big screen. But during the summer months I go to the drive-in.It is so much less and the kids are free.

I love the movie theater, so I go as much as I can. I do hate rowdy crowds, annoying children, and people that kick the back of your seat though. Otherwise, I love the big-screen experience. Of course, the prices are just getting ridiculously high, so I haven't been going as much as I used to. but I still go quite a bit, at least once every couple of weeks. I used to go at least once a week.

Ah I forgot about the people kicking the back of my seat!! We have a new movie theater here which has solved that problem, it is stadium seating and I do not get the kicking anymore. I thought for a very long time I was the target for kickers. My friends never had their seats kicked, but no matter where I sat I always had a kicker behind me or a BIG man who used the back of my seat to help himself up. I would go flying backwards and almost die from thinking I was falling! I do not miss those moments at all. I try to stay home and watch my movies.

I can't even remember the last time I went to the movie theater. My husband wanted to go last weekend but I just didn't want to so I talked him out of it. If I'm in the mood to go then I'll go but we just haven't been in forever. They are so pricey anyway and I'd much rather rent or buy the movie when it comes out.

The number of times that I go to the movie theatre depends on how many movies come out that I am interested in. I would probably say at least 6 times a year for sure but could be higher than that. Some years seem to have better movies than other years. The max I would say per year would be 10 to 12 times. It is much more expensive now so I may not go as often.

I hardly every go to the movies anymore. The last movie I saw at the theater was Polar Express in Dec. 2005. It's just too expensive to me.

I'm like you, I'd rather stay home. I haven't been to a movie theater in atleast 10 months and don't miss it at all, before that it had been atleast 10 years! I just can't sit still that long. My old man makes up for it though, he likes to go atleast 2-3 times a month.

I go 2-3 times per year. I go to a drive-in. There are lots of people there but we sit in our car so it is only the poeple right around us we have to deal with. Some of the movies are new ones but some are ones that come out on DVD a week or three later. They show 2 movies a night Fri-Sun. and the cost is less than one walk-in movie. They also have a dusk to dawn night about one weekend a month and they show a ccartoon plus 4 movies. They start off with g rated and get higher ratings as the night goes on. That way you can leave when the content get to be something you, or your children did not need to see. I like this but I also like to watch them at home also.

We don't go to the movies very often either. When we do go it is because we really want to see a movie and get the full affect of the big screen, sound, popcorn. We even make sure it is playing at the theatre that we find to be the most comfortable. Otherwise we rent movies once in awhile and add a few to our library every couple months. I agree it is nice to be able to pause the movie at home and sit on a comfortable couch too.
