Working from home. Why do so many fail?

For a little while now I've been building my own home business with some success (and it's growing continually) yet it seems to me that when I show others what I do they are all gung-ho to start with but it comes to a screeching halt when they realise that they actually have to do some work for it. It's not just a matter of promoting the same program as everyone else and then hoping for the best, it's truly a matter of putting in some time and effort. Is the reason so many people fail when it comes to working online because they, for some reason, believe that it should all just fall into their lap, and unlike a 'real job' they shouldn't have to put in any real work to get the job done? Or is it perhaps because they truly don't believe success can happen for them so they'd rather spend their time joining program after program and then complaining when it doesn't work?

I suspect that there is a lack of motivation or unsure if the business will really be successful. Many have the concept: You do it first, if it is successful, then I will follow. I believe we have to put our effort to do a business...any budiness. More info for business opportunity, please visit http://AglocoRocks.blogspot.com

Many people fail because of a lot of scams. If only scams are eradicated ,many would succeed in this type of jobs.

Another reason people who work from fail is that fact that they are program jumpers They don't stay with a program long enough to see if it will work out. What is the timeline to allow for making an income In all honesty is 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or more. They have joined so many money making sites and can't seem to be able make any headway. If they concentrate their efforts on one single program Give it 110% It takes patience, perserverance and time To YOUR SUCCESS online and off Wendy

I think the main reason for that is that in home you tend to relax and take it easy and not able to concentrate on your work that much more and the professionalism does not come

A good point - I think many fail to realise that just because you're working from home doesn't mean you can take it easy - you need to make sure you set aside a certain amount of time each day to work on your business and not get sidetracked.

You are absolutely right about people's mindset about working from home. And it's true that they are amazed that there is really WORK TO BE DONE! I am a full time forex trader and I spend a lot of time studying the market. At the same time, I market a strategy tool to help beginners trade. The amount of time required to work with people to coach them in trading is unbelievable. In fact, if it's on an international ground, that makes it even tougher! You have a bigger group of people to work with. I find myself still stuck to my PC the whole day, just like my finanace and planning job I used to hold for many years. The only flexibility is that I now can throw in laundry while I work and do some household chores but most of the time, I am still working hard at my little PC. :) And when they find something, whether good or bad, sometimes, people just don't stick through it and you are right about the fact that they keep joining one program after another and not putting in any effort.

There are almost two types of work on net. Advrtisement work and network marketing jobs. Both requires labours. Thete is no quick money or get rich scheme. So many scams alluring the surfers are also there. They claim to make you rich very fast. You must choose good scheme and work hard to get some result.

True I think often times too many people fall for the hype and think it sounds like an easy thing to do, then either discover it's a scam or realise it's not as easy as they first thought.

I have searched the internet for a decent home based income and never found one yet that isn't a scam in some way or they want money up front and I am not paying to work for someone. I've joined all sorts of homebased things only to be disillisioned.

connection through the internet - here in mylot, we talk to strangers and some friends globally.
and i hate people who always look for reasons to complain. they love to just benefit from everything. working online is also hard work. you do what you are supposed to do. you keep your brain working, your eyes focussed and your fingers typing while sitting for hours infront of the computer screen. you think, you create, you post, you discuss... then you get paid. we have to use our imaginations here, too and not just copy others' works just to earn faster. we do not earn money in an instant... that's why it's called an online job because we need to work on that site to earn. and mylot is my first online job. though i need to type and type for hours talking to people i don't know, i am okey with my earnings and i am having fun along the way.

I can totally understand that...I have had to do a lot of work to get my writing out there and try and get jobs and projects. I created my own website. I researched publishers for my poetry book. I wrote my own bio..and press release...It has been a process...and it does take work if you want to succeed....and I guess many people just get tired...and give up...

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the older generation are not aware that there are actually legit ways of earning money online, they probably automatically view everything as a scam (who can really blame them I guess though, there are so many out there!). I also think that self discipline could have a lot to do with it, some people may find it hard to get the job done when they don't have a boss to obey or guidelines to follow.

I think that you are right. Many people need structure and having someone else to be accountable to. This is why so many people fail at working from home. To be successful at working from home, it takes a great deal of self-discipline. You can't just jump in and do what you want to do. YOu really do have to schedule your work just like it would be scheduled for you if you worked onsite for a company. Working from home requires dedication and the ability to provide your own structure. Too many people are looking for something easy that doesn't require too much time. I have found that I work twice as much to keep my "at-home" work going as I do when I work on site.

I figure that both of these factors play a part in the lack of successful home businesses. You don't start a business and then have it suddenly become a success story over night. You have to put in a lot of hard work and long hours. I know that from my own online site. And even with all of the long hours, you are not going to get rich. There are also people who think that everything online is a scam and that there is no real money to be made out there so they do everything that they can to prove that to be true. Some people are afraid to invest too much into their business and don't make any effort out of fear of losing everthing.

The sad reality is that a lot of people get involved in programs they don't understand or make the mistake of thinking it's going to be easy. Overnight cash is a promise made all over the net, and it's unfortunate that so many people fall into believing that. The fact is, it's hard work and the money comes later in the game than what many believe. I love it though.

Nice question why do so many fails . First and main reason is no one waits for reasults and work as part time on net , If they want to earn money then first they should starts from petitions , everybody thinks that online is easy job and they can fetch money like claps but they never did earlier yet , I used to fell very frustrated in starting but after some time working online i came to know that all online works depends on petitions.

Yes, people completely feel that it should just happen for them. It took me two good years to build up an extremely well run business of music lessons out of my home studio. We are doing so well, we have turned town many clients and have a huge waiting list. It takes time and most people think it will happen in the snap of their fingers to do well.

I agree with you that some fails because they dont give more time and effort on their job for they are confident enough that they can do that easily because they can easy grasp their job. We must also pay more attention on our job when we are at home for it is also need the same focus as we have our job outside.

the biggest problem is that most people cannot take things seriously when working from home, say for instance they wont stick to a proper time schedule, even if they make one they will never follow it cos they know there is no boss who is going to be after their life if they take things easy. all this i am saying from my personal experience

Some people just aren't cut out for their own home business. They might be easier at just following directions rather than figuring out what they have to do to make it work. OR they could believe that it just might not work out anyway so why try.

Some people that are working home are not that serious when working, unlike your working in the office with your boss.

you need determination to start your own business... and you should be faithful to yourself that you will not let it go as soon as u face an initial obstacle. these are tmost important things in starting a business of your own.
