I'm an older adult and not statisfied with my job. Its boring and no room for advancement. The pay is the only reason why I stay. I'm apprehensive to take the plunge and I'd like to hear from anyone who just walked away to start/finish a degree, change career, or other...

Although I have not done this, my sister went back to school at the age of 50. She was the oldest in her class and actually was the only one whose mother showed up for some sort of show and tell type of day - whatever it was for university. I never went to university, especially not in the course she took. She went back to school for two years and now has a job she loves. You're never too old. Go for it!
