We've been recycling here in New Jersey for over 20 years. They come and pick up cans, plastics and newpapers every two weeks.
They even provide you with recycling trash cans. They are a bright yellow color.
They also pick up your grass clippings and the leaves that fall off the trees.
What we do is rake the leaves onto the street near the curb and they come by with a big truck and vacuum it up.

Thank you for responding.It is good that New Jersey has a recycling program that all are involved in.Other than the clippings and leaves,they use the same system here.

yes, i segrate things from those which can be used again to those which wont be any use. i've been practicing it for years, my old school drilled in our head the importance of proper waste disposal and recycling.

You just hit on a very important thing.I think the schools SHOULD take a bigger role in recycling and encourage the students to do so as well.Education is a great way to increase the awareness surrounding the myth and legends of recycling.Good point!!

Rycycling is one of the most effective way to protect our environment. I try to recycle all the things that can be recycled.Environmental problem is a serious problem human beings are facing. hope every one will pay close attention to it.

Well said and I do agree with you.We have almost finished off Earth and now have to look for a new planet to settle.We need as much time as we canbefore the next step.

I'm not that proactive in recycling, but they do give us two garbage bins one for recycling and one for trash. I do seperate between those two... I do see it as a problem, but am not always completely conscious of all my decisions towards helping/hurting the problem...

Sometimes a friendly (nudge) or reminder can be good for us.At least keep trying to recycle when you can as every bit helps.
