I gave birth thru a ceasarian section. It's not that I don't want to feel the pain of birth labor but because I hve to. I really thought that I would give birth normally because there were no signs that I'll be having problems during my first and second trimester. Then came my last week, my due date. I still can't feel any contractions, that's really odd because it's supposse to e my due date already. My obygyne requested ne too have a pelvic xray. She found out that I have a smaller than usual pelvic. But she didn't send me to the hospital right away to have a c-section. What she recommended was to have me under induced labor. I was admitted to the hospital that time. After 12 hours of induced labor, I still can't feel any contractions.I should be because I was already induced. That's when my ob decided that I should undergo c-section right away. I was awake all thru out the operation. I feel so numb, scared, afraid, excited, happy and verey dizzy all at the same time. And then I heard a tiny voice cried. I too cried that time. It was the worst and happiest moment of my life.

My first child was also delivered (eventually) by ceasarian section. I first had to go through 15 hours or so of agonizing labor. After the dr. tried everything else to get my son out, he opted for the emergency c-section. My next two they made me try the old fashion way again. Number 2 was horrid, and almost was csection again but with ripping and etc. she did manage to make it out. Number 3 was a breeze comparitively. Now if only I could have managed to have a baby like one of my sisters did. She went to the dr. in labor but she didn't know it because she didn't feel any pain. They told her when to push and she did. One kiddo born pain free. What a blessing that must have been.

Two years ago i gave birth to a baby girl thru natural birth. Yeah, it's painful and during those moments when i'm in labor, i can't describe the pain. i can't even describe it now but it's really really painful. actually i'm kinda scared of being pregnant again...but I know that God is there and He will help me. You know what, during those painful moments, i kept praying and i'm so blessed and thankful that I can feel His presence.

All 4 of my children were delivered by c-section. I had always imagined it that way when I was a kid but when I was pregnant with my oldest I assumed I would have a normal birth but I guess all my dreams as a kid were right. I never went into labor and just had the c-section. To me it really made no difference as long as the baby was healthy. I wasn't scared at all going into my first section but with each one after that I got more nervous. The last one in April I was a wreck when they put the spinal in but after that I was fine and couldn't wait to meet my new baby, even if my husband couldn't be with me (he was in the waiting room with our other children).

I opted for natural birth even though i did not know how i would cope with the whole pain factor and i had this terrible fear of tearing....but i figured if my mom could do it and my gran and so many women in the world, what makes me different. in the end however, it wasnt up to me, had to have a c-section. my amniotic fluid was on the decrease quicker than we thought. all that i have to say about the c-section, painful as hell!!!! if you have a choice, do not opt for it. im sure feeling the pain of natural labour which is there and then is far better than the after effects of a c-section which is a lingering pain.

Yep if I have a choice on this i would definitely choose the natural birth method. It's more meaningful that way and the pain will be felt only during the labor period. With my c-section, i sometimes can feel the scar hurting, especially during cold days.Dunno why?

It was a normal delivery and it need not have to be ceasarian everytime. These days many ladies go in for caesarian delivery in order to avoid the delivery pain.

Yeah if I have a choice at that time, I wouldn't choose tbe c-section. It's just that it was what my obgyne had recommended. Of course I believe her, she's the doctor not me. C-section is also a painful experience.

I am getting ready to go threw my 3rd c-section. That is the only way I have ever given birth. My oldest was 10 days late & thye had to induce me. I was in labor 23 hours when they did an emergency c-section. I had my next child 20 months later. The girls are so close in age we all felt it was safer to have a c-section. I was told I had to have one this time since I have all ready had 2. It does not bother me since it is the only way I have known.

I was also induced for 12 hours but nothing happend. I didn't feel any labor pains, it's really weird. This is the reason why my ob opted for a C-section, she said that it'll be risky if i were to be induced formore than 12 hours.

Let me say first that i didn't give birth...lol!.. it's my wife who did. But i responded here coz you share almost the same experience. It was also our first baby so we really take note of the date of her conception. Our counting and the results of fetal age based on ultrasound was the same. On her expected due date, she also did not experience any contractions. Since her OB gyne advised that she had to undergo ultrasound if still there are no signs of labor on the expected date, she did as what she was told. Her amniotic fluid was slightly below normal based on the results and since it was her due date and no indications of labor/contractions, she was admitted and was also induced. Nearly 4 hrs of induction and she didn't have any contractions and there was no labor pains also but the fetal monitor showed that the baby's activity is slowing down. So, she also immediately undergo a caesarian delivery. It was also like a nightmare for her coz she was awake throughout the operation but it was also one of the happiest moments of our life seeing our first baby boy.

Wow that's cool,it's nice to hear that I have someone here who also have the same experience as we had. That's exactly how our experience was. But at the end of it all..i'm sure we are all happy to see our babies born healthy and beautiful.

Nice to know that you gave brith to a baby boy. I too have four months baby boy. but i gave normal brith. You know what, i really didnot want to gave normal birth as i was scared,.very afraid of pain. My husband also works in the hospital as Chief registered nurse , he is specialised in Operation techniques, you know i was telling my husband to recommend for caesarean section. As i didnot have any problem, doctor and and my husband told me to give normall birth. I cried and cried. But now after giving normal birth, iam happy. FRiend, it will be vry happy moment in our ( women's life) togive brith to a baby , to becom mum. Congrats

I gave birth to my 2 kids via cesarean section. The first one was by choice, it was a good thing i chose to give birth that way coz during the operation it was found out that there was some sort of cord coil on my baby. The 2nd one, was a semi-choice, which was another good thing because the baby was already too big for my uterus and if we waited for me to contract and undergo labor, my uterus could've ripped and me and my baby wouldn't have survived.

I have 3 kids, all of them were thru normal delivery. With my youngest child, i thought i would be under C-section, because she was a breech baby until 36 weeks, so, i was really convincing myself that i had no choice, but to undergo a CS. But my OB-Gyne instructed me to do a lot of things (like, putting music just below my navel and positions wherein the baby will gravitate towards the birth canal), she assured me that my daughter will still change position. And she was right! At 37 weeks, when i had my check-up, my doctor confirmed that, indeed, my daughter has changed position.

hi selina, i too had a C-section 21 months ago. it was not my choice but my baby's. =) he won't go out of me for whatever reason, he just loved to be inside me. =) he was already 1wk overdue but i wasn't feeling any contractions yet. my OB had to perform CS because my amniotic fluid was very low already, even with the gallons and gallons of water i was drinking. or maybe, my lil boy was so obedient that he followed my request to come out on the 9th of april, instead of his 05apr edd. i'm decided to still have CS for my next baby because i had an easy experience with it. no pain whatsoever, before, during and even after. and i do believe that which ever way, it doesn't make you less of a mother.
