For ME Yes because the most commonly eaten species is the domestic chicken and its eggs, although geese, pheasants, turkeys, and ducks are also widely eaten. Other birds that have been utilized for food include emus, ostriches, pigeons, grouse, quails, doves, woodcocks, songbirds, and others, including small passerines such as finches. Birds grown for human consumption are referred to as poultry. And we eat poultry animals that's why we consider it as an important food source of humans. What do you think?

I don't think they're an important food source. Common food source yes, but we absolutely could live without them. I think among all animals raised for food, poultry are probably those who are treated with the most cruelty. Especially layer hens.

Yes, I guess when I think of the chicken and the egg thing I do. My family eats a lot of chicken. At least twice a week we are eating chicken of some kind. So we are pretty reliant on it.
