For me this is a simple answer, the most dangerous thing in the world that effects peace is humans. Not just the species or the type of people but the human mind. I am an engineer and i truely believe in technology, and the future in science. So please dont think that I am a naturalist, I love nature dont get me wrong, i just respect it, just like my motorcycle, i respect it..humand in general and especially those in power tend to dis-respect their science. meaning when they find new science and new technologies they quickly descide to abuse it and find ways to gain from it, this leads to technology and science being used against the world which daunts the progress of peace. I am not saying that man is evil, obviously I am one of them, I am just saying that humankind tends to disrespect its own powers and abilities, everyone seems to be trying to be top dog in the world when in reality everyone needs to work together to bring peace. Furthermore i also do believe in war, in world war 2 we had a just cause to go to war, we were attacked blindly by the japanese. or that is what our governement says, the japanese still hold true to the fact thaqt they sent warrnings. be that what it may, we also ended that war not in the best way but we ended it. we fought the british for our national freedom, of course this was for the better ,the true patriots fighting for the nation. Then after world war 2 there was a shift in politics, from the person best fit for the nnation to who th epublic liked better on tv...kennedy started this trend, and since then we have had 2-3 "conflicts" that probably could have been avoided. now the real reason we are at "war" riht now i cannot say all i can say is that as a past rotc member the usa holds the fact that they have "never lost a war" very important, consequently when the governement realized that iraq was a osing battle they declared their "war on terrorism" and bin laden over, even though he is still loose. Also in that same manner when we were getting trounced and beaten by the vietnamese in veitnam all of a sudden instead of a war it was a conflict...oh and desert storm was a conflict too...how ironic... meanwhile the financial situation has only gotten worse for americans, during ww1 and ww2 the economy got stronger, in my opinion the governemtn trying to find an "easy way out" (atleast for them) decided to go to war and try to fix its economy ..read the rolling stones article on th erich and th economy...yeah the economy has strengthened, but if you look at bushes tax system and financial plan, it was based on war without war his financial plan would not have helped at all, it would have hurt our economy. If the american public would have fully understood bushes financial scheme, would we have still elected him?
