for credit card companies to call people...for instance when payment is due. should it be a) one mo. b) 2 mo c) 6 mo or when whenever they feel like it. Also, do you feel if you've ever been called that they are rude, obnoxious? Like men or women call, and won't say who they are...etc...what's your take?

Actually, I believe most will call as you are nearing the 30-day past due stage. The employees are generally rude and condescending. I just recently called my card company for a dispute and was treated like scum, when I have NEVER been late with my payments. They did not post my latest payment in a timely manner, when I had scheduled it on their website. They posted late fees BEFORE the due date, that put it over limit, and then to add insult to injury, added a second over limit fee, all within six days of the due date. The girl was basically just repeating "Pay your bills on time" when I was trying to get across to her that I HAD.

Now see, I would have asked for the supervisor. That is just simply insane! The same thing went on with us, they had the website closed down, so we couldn't pay online. Go figure, no wonder they hadn't received payment! Thanks for sharing!

Ah, I forgot to mention, I DID ask for her supervisor. Wanna hear a funny? She "forgot" who she had just talked to when she went to ask about reversing the fees. So I read out loud to her as I wrote "Peggy refuses to give name of supervisor". She transferred me to voicemail of someone who was already gone. I have a post on ripoffreport.com now to see what else I can do. I am also filing a dispute in writing. If you look at ripoffreport.com and search hsbc it is under hsbc direct rewards card. It's gotten to a matter of principal. And this has all been since my Feb 3rd due date.
