Who decides today's hot topics and how? Any idea? Some of the topics listed in that section are not todays at all.

I doubt anyone who's sane would troll through the discussions and pick a few out. It's more likely to be some form of a system.

I'd say based on the number of replies, but some have alot more than others. Perhaps the tags have some influence also.
