Has anyone ever dealt with crystal meth??

I am in a relationship of 9 years, about 2 years ago we split up and he started doing meth. Now we are back together and have been for a year, he is now off the this horrible drug but when we first got back together he was doing it bad. I was just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this horrible drug and how did you overcome it?
