When did you start having cable/dsl internet? / myLot

Hi there. I'm curious about this point. When did you leave dial-up internet and started using dsl/cable? In my case, it was in the summer of 2002, 4 years ago. What about you?

I started using cable around 4 years ago and dsl a year back. Now I find dial-up so frustrating. If Im using dial-up I have to be doing something else as well otherwise Id probably rip the computer apart.

That's right, I can't even imagine how it would be for me to return to dial-up... it's so slow that I can't even think of waiting so long for a site to load. Thanks for your reply.

I used 4 years dial-up internet, it's was so bad! But, i use DSL Internet since 2000; first with 128k speed, now 512k.

I don´t remember very well, but I started having DSL connection about 6 years ago. It was very expensive in that time, so I cancelled it and just got it again 3 years ago.

I only started two years ago after moving to the UK. In SA is is still to expensive to have broadband or any other connection that dial up. We dont even have cable????
